Job Summary
Responsible for supporting IT projects across all SMC locations. Participate in evaluating and analyzing business systems while defining opportunities to maximize capabilities. Identify and resolve user issues by providing technical knowledge to support proposed solutions.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Site subject matter expert on serialization functionality for IT at the site; understand system integrations, troubleshoot issues and provide technical support.
- Write and maintain functional specifications for new or modified business systems.
- Consult and coordinate the design and development of automated business systems.
- Build relationships with key users/SMEs across the broader organization to expand understanding of various business functions challenges & opportunities to identify opportunities for process/system improvements.
- Provide technical assistance in identifying, evaluating, and developing systems and procedures.
- Track and document changes to functional and business specifications.
- Provide project leadership for IT projects.
- Collaborate with peers and users to identify and document business needs / objectives, problems, input / output requirements, data scope, usage, formatting, and security requirements for needed improvement.
Essential Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration or related field and 4 years’ relative experience OR, two-year post high school diploma/related field and 8 years’ relative experience.
- Proven experience in project leadership and system integration.
- Experience working with business customers documenting business system requirements.
- Critical thinking and problem resolution skills.
- Excellent communication skills including both presentation and written skills.
Desirable Qualifications
- Experience using and with: DELMIAWorks (IQMS), or comparable ERP.
- Validated systems and procedures related to GMP.
- Integrations, specifically APIs.
- Making manufacturing and warehouse processes.
- SQL.
- Serialization within a manufacturing environment.
- Crystal Reports.
ADA Requirements
- Sits, grasps items and performs keyboarding for frequent operation of a computer.
- Stand, walk, bend, reach or otherwise move about regularly.
- Lift, move, or otherwise transfer items up to 40 lbs. occasionally, >20 lbs. frequently.
- Occasional exposure to typical machine shop physical hazards.
