Responsibilities

The Senior Business Systems Analyst is responsible for:

  • Accurate creation, assembly, and communication of reports and detailed analysis needed by various internal and external customers.
  • Developing and operationalizing new concepts and ideas for improving services and providing information on cost reduction options.
  • Gathering data through various means, including mining computer data, reviewing competitor data, and analyzing industry trends.
  • Project management as needed.

  • Demonstrated ability in translating business needs into formal requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability in application design and development processes.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to present to large audiences and key stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, along with a strong working knowledge of various software packages.
  • Experience mining and reporting data using tools such as Microsoft Office Access, Microsoft SQL Server Report Builder, Crystal Reports, or similar reporting tools.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

  • Qualifications

    • Minimum of three years of healthcare or business analyst experience required.
    • Clinical healthcare experience preferred.
    • Bachelor's degree in business, management, accounting, economics, statistics, information science or similar required.
    • A combination of similar education, certifications, and work experience may be considered in lieu of a bachelor’s degree.

    Physical Demands and Work Environment Conditions

    • Standing, walking, stooping, and occasional carrying and lifting of lightweight materials (up to 20 pounds).
    • May be required to sit for extended periods of time.
    • Requires visual acuity and depth perception to recognize words and numbers; and hand and finger dexterity and hand/eye coordination to use a computer keyboard and common office equipment.
