Business Systems Analyst – Senior
Solano County is seeking an accomplished Business Systems Analyst – Senior to serve as a strategic liaison between County departments and the Department of Information Technology.
About the role
Within the Business Relationship Management Office, this advanced journey-level role combines senior business systems analysis with hands-on relationship management to translate complex operational needs into practical technology solutions. The position independently leads the full analytical lifecycle from demand intake, requirements elicitation, and process analysis through solution delivery and adoption.
The role develops a deep understanding of departmental operations, maintains productive stakeholder relationships, supports demand-management activities, and partners with IT teams to align solutions with County priorities.
Responsibilities
- Lead the full analytical lifecycle: demand intake, requirements elicitation, process analysis, solution delivery, and adoption.
- Develop a deep understanding of departmental operations and maintain productive stakeholder relationships.
- Support demand-management activities and partner with IT teams to align solutions with County priorities.
- Apply senior-level experience in requirements engineering, process improvement, workflow documentation, data analysis, technology procurement, project delivery, and stakeholder engagement.
- Work across Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid environments; apply ITIL and business relationship management practices.
- Produce professional-grade analysis artifacts and explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate is a highly accomplished analyst with senior-level experience in the responsibilities listed above. Familiarity with Microsoft 365 tools and certifications such as CBAP, BRMP, CBRM, PMI-PBA, ITIL 4, or PMP is highly desirable.
Pay
$129,874.83 to $157,863.66 annually.
