IT Business Analyst

About the role

The IT Business Analyst is responsible for a broad range of IT support for both infrastructure and application environments. The position is a key contributor and works in a broad set of end-to-end technology solutions. To be successful in this role, you must demonstrate superior service to our end user community by proactively communicating and ensuring that desired customer outcomes are achieved.

Responsibilities

• Responsibilities span across multiple disciplines covering Enterprise systems, Applications, Cloud Services and SaaS-based solutions, and various other technology areas in support of the enterprise IT environment
• Ensure system conforms with architectural objectives and system's production readiness and supportability
• Support the installation, configuration, and maintenance of multi-platform systems hardware, software, and components
• Document, implement, and maintain computer applications and systems
• Collaborate with the business to develop dashboards and reports
• Assist with release planning for software and hardware across the enterprise
• Assist with evaluation of architecture to ensure compatibility with computing systems
• Provide daily production support as issues arise; conduct problem analysis as needed
• Act as a point of escalation for moderate to difficult problems
• Research new technologies to improve operational efficiency
• Provide solutions to a variety of technical problems of moderate scope and complexity
• Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
• Maintain a safe, secure, and legal work environment, adhering to all Company policies and procedures
• Maintain and protect the confidentiality of the Company’s information and products

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Experience Level I: 0-2 years of IT experience
• Experience Level II: 2-5 years of IT experience
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and hands-on technical experience across multiple technology disciplines
• Technical expertise to evaluate, install, upgrade, and maintain enterprise-wide range of technology solutions which may include hardware and software solutions
• Results orientation and self-motivated
• Willingness to drive and embrace change
• Must be authorized to work in the United States

Skills

• Analytical Skills: Skill and ability to: collect, organize, synthesize, and analyze data; summarize findings; develop conclusions and recommendations from appropriate data sources at the department level
• Business Case Analysis: Complete knowledge of business case analysis to effectively perform functional responsibilities of the occupation
• Information Technology Fluency: Complete ability in the use of personal computing hardware and software to enter project information, such as, statements of work, resource identification and usage, task status, cost estimating and tracking, etc. Complete knowledge of processes and tools to maintain, archive, and retrieve digital files. Complete ability in constructing/building and providing reports and presentation material as needed for assigned projects. Complete knowledge of identifying and gaining approval of testing of established applications to meet project requirements
• Process Management Skills: Complete ability to determine the process to be used to accomplish goals, properly document processes, know how to organize people and activities, understand how to separate and combine tasks into efficient workflow, identify opportunities for synergy and integration, and simplify complex processes
• Project Leadership: Complete ability to accept, direct, and perform responsibilities and work assigned tasks as a project team member in support of the overall project. Complete ability to lead and direct the activities and resources of assigned projects and support higher graded employees in large scale and complex projects
• System Dev Lifecycle Method: Complete knowledge and understanding of phases of system development lifecycle including (requirements definition, system design, build/integrate, test, and deployment)
• Preferred experience for IT Analyst III:
  • Knowledge of Dassault products and services especially those supporting and aligned to CATIA and the configuration and administration of CATIA platforms from standalone instances through fully integrated PLM deployments
  • Knowledge of PTC products and services especially those supporting and aligned to Windchill and the configuration and administration of Windchill platforms from standalone instances through fully integrated PLM and Engineering systems deployments
  • Knowledge and ability to demonstrate understanding of key lifecycle concepts as it relates to the development and delivery of products and services in an engineering discipline (e.g., design phases and terminology, approval and release process, regulatory and legal compliance factors, rework cycles including discrepancy, deviation, and non-compliance)
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing; German is a plus

Pay

Salary Range: $70,000 - $90,000 annually. The base pay offered will vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, location, experience, and take into account internal equity.
