Job Summary
The Business Analyst will partner closely with Accounting, Finance, Operations, and Sales teams to optimize business processes, improve system efficiency, and support data-driven decision-making. This role is responsible for analyzing business requirements, researching best practices, and supporting the design and implementation of enterprise data solutions. This role will transform business requirements into actionable insights by designing, developing, and maintaining analytics solutions, dashboards, reports, and data models that improve visibility into financial and operational performance. The role requires expertise in data modeling, data governance, systems integration, and business process improvement.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Manage assigned cases, initiatives, and projects, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to established timelines and deadlines.
- Analyze business challenges using industry, functional, technical, and data expertise to identify solutions and recommend effective technology and analytics implementations.
- Partner with Accounting, Finance, Operations, and IT stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business, reporting, and analytics requirements.
- Develop and execute detailed project plans, including timelines, risk identification, dependency management, and alternative solution analysis to ensure successful delivery.
- Affirm data standards, metadata management, and data catalog processes.
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, integrity, and reconciliation across integrated source systems.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve system, data, and project-related issues to keep initiatives on track.
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including business requirements, project plans, data models, definitions, and reporting logic.
- Identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities through data analysis and present actionable insights to leadership and business users.
- Recommend and implement process, system, and reporting improvements based on project outcomes, data insights, and lessons learned.
- Stay current on business trends, industry standards, and emerging technologies to provide forward-looking recommendations.
- Continuously evaluate and recommend enhancements to analytics, reporting, data governance, and business intelligence practices.
Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, Computer Science, Data Management, or a related field required.
- 4+ years of overall information technology experience.
- Experience working with data architecture, data governance, or data management initiatives.
- Experience with full-cycle implementations of ERP, CRM, eCommerce, or similar enterprise applications preferred.
- Strong understanding of SDLC, business analysis methodologies, and requirements management.
- Experience with data modeling concepts and relational databases.
- Knowledge of data warehousing, ETL processes, and systems integration.
- Strong IT-level computer literacy.
- Solid understanding of accounting principles.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
