About the role

The IT Access Analyst is responsible for creation, removal, and maintenance of user access permissions and access controls for various information technology solutions and business applications. This individual works with system owners, company management, supervisors, vendors, consultants, and other IT and Information Security staff to ensure proper access is in place and thoroughly documented.

Responsibilities

  • Administers user access to a wide range of information technology solutions and business applications, including the main operating system, email, banking and financial software, lending software, and other assigned programs.
  • Manages user access administration requests, such as new hire, modification, and termination access rights initiated by Human Resources, approved service requests from end-users, and adjustments identified during routine audits.
  • Maintains procedural instructions for administered systems and awareness of information security laws, regulations, best practices, frameworks, standards, and internal policies.
  • Applies knowledge of information security and risk mitigation principles in daily work and stays current on technologies and industry-specific trends.
  • Assists in the development and implementation of new applications and technologies as required.
  • Monitors, plans, and coordinates the distribution of pertinent information.
  • Works independently and takes initiative to complete projects as assigned by supervisor.
  • Performs access-related audits and coordinates necessary adjustments with appropriate staff.
  • Recommends access changes to achieve proper and secure provisioning for consideration by supervisor or business system owners.
  • Provides access information and reports to auditors or examiners upon request.
  • Screens, evaluates, and identifies security-related risks and makes recommendations to direct supervisor.
  • Coordinates audit-related tasks and ensures department readiness for audit testing.
  • Assigns, modifies, and removes user and group access based on job responsibilities and approvals.
  • Maintains detailed documentation for all access provisioned, modified, or removed, primarily through the company's ticketing system.
  • Coordinates work tasks with other personnel within the department and across departments to ensure smooth information flow.
  • Develops objectives, plans, schedules, and tasks related to access management activities.
  • Interfaces effectively with technical and non-technical staff at all organizational levels using business terminology.
  • Responds to inquiries from auditors, vendors, and company personnel within established policy and timeframes.

Requirements

  • A B.S. or B.A. degree in Computer Science or related field of study preferred, or equivalent related work experience and/or training.
  • A minimum of five (5) years' related experience in access management or similar roles.

Skills

  • Proficient reading, writing, grammar, and mathematics skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communicative skills, with the ability to present ideas and articulate concepts clearly.
  • Proficient technical and PC computer skills, including demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Office software.
  • Working knowledge of core processing systems and supporting applications.
  • Proficient IT project management skills.
  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, stoop, reach, and lift items weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Visual, auditory, and speaking skills required for effective communication.

  • Thin Clients (Citrix Virtual Environment).
