IR Technologist - Days (Full-Time)

About the Role

The IR Technologist performs advanced imaging procedures, supports interventional treatments, and operates specialized radiologic equipment to assist in diagnosing and treating diseases. They support both inpatient and outpatient settings, including trauma care, and collaborate closely with physicians and the healthcare team.

Responsibilities

• Performing complex radiographic, fluoroscopic, and invasive vascular procedures using multi-modality imaging equipment.
• Preparing patients, explaining procedures, and ensuring safety, care, and comfort across all ages.
• Assisting during sterile procedures, managing equipment, and supporting emergent situations.
• Operating, troubleshooting, and maintaining imaging systems such as angiography, CT, ultrasound, and Dyna CAD.
• Administering contrast and procedural medications under physician supervision, monitoring patient responses.
• Documenting procedural data, maintaining supplies, and ensuring equipment quality control.
• Training staff and students, staying current with technological and procedural advancements, and maintaining certifications.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; graduate of an approved Radiologic Technology program.
• Current ARRT RT(R) certification with ongoing CEU compliance.
• Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, sterile techniques, radiation safety, and ancillary equipment operation.
• Ability to perform independently, demonstrate critical thinking, and support emergency and patient care needs.
