IR Special Procedure Technologist (Full-Time, Days)

About the role

The IR Special Procedures Technologist performs advanced imaging procedures such as fluoroscopy and interventional radiology to assist in diagnosis and treatment. This role requires operating specialized equipment, ensuring patient safety and comfort, and providing critical support during complex medical procedures.

Responsibilities

• Operate specialized imaging equipment for fluoroscopy and interventional radiology procedures
• Ensure patient safety and comfort during diagnostic and treatment procedures
• Provide critical support to healthcare teams during complex medical procedures
• Demonstrate expert knowledge of imaging technologies and equipment operation
• Communicate effectively with patients and healthcare professionals

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited Imaging Program or RCIS training certification
• At least one year of relevant experience
• State licensure may be required
• Certification such as AART (R) or RCIS, and BLS preferred

Physical demands

• Lifting up to 50 lbs
