IR Special Procedure Technologist (Full-Time, Days)

About the Role

The IR Special Procedures Technologist performs advanced imaging procedures, including fluoroscopy and interventional radiology, to assist in diagnosis and treatment. Responsibilities include operating specialized equipment, ensuring patient safety and comfort, and supporting complex medical procedures. They collaborate with healthcare professionals and communicate effectively with patients to provide optimal care.

Responsibilities

• Operate imaging equipment, including fluoroscopy and interventional radiology tools
• Assist during advanced imaging and medical procedures
• Ensure patient safety and comfort throughout procedures
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to deliver high-quality care
• Communicate effectively with patients and medical staff

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Imaging Program with clinical hours completed or RCIS certification
• At least one year of relevant experience
• State licensure may be required depending on location
• Certification: AART (R) or RCIS, and BLS
• Expertise in imaging technologies, protocols, and software
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities
• Mentoring skills for guiding less experienced technologists
• Attention to detail and ability to follow complex instructions
• Physical ability to lift 50 lbs, stand, walk, and perform various physical tasks
