IP transactional Associate

About the Role

A leading New York media, entertainment, and intellectual property boutique is seeking a Transactional Associate to join its growing practice. The role offers significant hands-on responsibility across sophisticated transactions spanning streaming, film, documentaries, podcasts, theatre, publishing, digital media, live events, sports, promotions, marketing, commercial technology, and general corporate matters.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with partners and clients from deal ideation through execution
• Draft and negotiate a broad range of commercial agreements
• Help develop and implement deal strategy
• Manage complex, fast-moving workflows
• Take ownership of matters and operate effectively in a highly collaborative environment

Requirements

• Approximately 2–4 years of relevant transactional experience
• Strong drafting, negotiation, and critical-thinking skills
• Prior experience involving media, entertainment, intellectual property, technology, or related commercial transactions (strongly preferred)
• Genuine interest in the creative, cultural, and technology industries

Qualifications

• Strong academic credentials
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Additional industry knowledge or demonstrated engagement with media, entertainment, culture, or the arts (highly desirable)

Pay

Salary: $155,000–$175,000 + bonus, client origination, and benefits
