IOP SERVICE DEVELOPMENT REPRESENTATIVE
Position Summary
The IOP Service Development Representative develops and maintains professional referral relationships within the community while acting as a conduit of information between Freedom Behavioral and external healthcare partners. The SDR collaborates with leadership, clinical teams, and community stakeholders to identify educational needs and promote behavioral health awareness.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain referral relationships with hospitals, physicians, mental health providers, and community organizations.
- Promote Freedom Behavioral’s IOP services through professional outreach and education.
- Serve as liaison between referral sources and the facility to ensure smooth patient transitions across levels of care.
- Identify community educational needs and assist in planning and implementing outreach and education initiatives.
- Possessors assigned territories to identify new referral opportunities and partnership development.
- Meet or exceed established monthly outreach and referral goals.
- Maintain accurate activity tracking and referral documentation using web-based systems and reporting tools.
- Represent Freedom Behavioral professionally within the community and healthcare network.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, And Experience
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business Development, Healthcare Administration, or related field preferred. Equivalent healthcare marketing or business development experience will be considered.
- Experience: Minimum of two (2) years experience in healthcare sales, business development, admissions, or related healthcare marketing role required. Experience in behavioral health or outpatient program development preferred.
- Skills & Qualifications: Proven marketing, sales, customer service, or clinical education experience. Strong relationship-building and communication skills. Ability to educate healthcare professionals on hospital programs and services. Goal-driven with demonstrated ability to meet or exceed performance targets. Proficiency with tablets, smartphones, and web-based applications. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook). Ability to manage daily travel within assigned territory. Professional appearance and presentation skills required. Valid driver’s license, proof of insurance, and dependable transportation required.
Work Environment & Expectations
- Frequent local travel required for outreach and relationship development.
- Use of mobile technology and CRM/reporting platforms daily.
- Collaboration with clinical leadership and admissions teams to support patient access.
