Job Type: Full-time

About the role

We are ERock! ERock is a leader and innovator in distributed energy. The company installs, operates, and integrates highly flexible, low‑cost, quick‑response distributed generation to increase reliability, reduce costs, and decrease carbon footprint. Our backup generators ensure customers never lose power during outages, providing ultra‑clean backup generation at a fraction of traditional costs. We seek individuals who share our commitment to customer service, innovation, and ingenuity.

Reporting to the VP of Planning and Inventory, the Inventory Manager will lead the inventory team and warehouse operations for our manufacturing site ramp‑up. You will own the full material lifecycle—including receiving, put‑away, production order picking, and logistics—ensuring that as production volumes increase, processes remain robust and the team stays aligned. This role requires a leader who understands the financial impact of inventory transactions, ensuring transactional integrity and ERP data accuracy to meet both financial compliance and service‑level targets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Team Building & Process Leadership: Recruit, onboard, and stabilize a high‑performing inventory team; provide continuous training and mentoring to ensure skill in physical handling and ERP system accuracy.
  • Process‑Driven Management: Establish and refine standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistent, repeatable results as volume scales.
  • Performance Control: Set clear performance goals, conduct regular evaluations, and foster a culture of accountability, safety, and transactional discipline.
  • Warehouse Operations & Problem Solving: Provide daily oversight of receiving, shipping, and picking; monitor workflows to identify bottlenecks before they impact production; serve as primary escalation point for inventory discrepancies, logistics delays, or system errors; utilize 5S methodologies to optimize warehouse layout for maximum picking and put‑away efficiency.
  • MRP & Data Integrity: Own Item Card integrity within the ERP; partner with Planning and Procurement to ensure item parameters (lead times, safety stocks, reorder points) reflect operational reality; monitor MRP signals to synchronize supply with the master production schedule and proactively resolve gaps for internal production customers.
  • Inventory Integrity & Financial Compliance: Lead a rigorous cycle‑count program and coordinate full inventory audits to reconcile physical stock with records, ensuring 100% integrity for financial reporting; ensure all physical movements are mirrored in the ERP in real‑time; understand how inventory transactions impact the General Ledger (COGS, WIP, valuation); apply SOX knowledge to meet internal control standards and audit readiness.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering/Distribution, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience as an Inventory or Warehouse manager leading a team within a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced understanding of warehousing processes and related ERP transactions.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret large datasets and analyze safety stock and reorder points for multiple sites.
  • Experience working with 3PL and trucking companies to manage inter‑modal logistics.
  • Experience with new facility ramp‑up, including warehouse layout, process design, transactional controls, and team building.
  • Preferred: Power BI experience.
  • Preferred: Business Central ERP experience.
  • Preferred: Experience implementing 5S within the warehouse environment.
