Inventory Manager

About the role

We are immediately hiring an Inventory Manager in Aberdeen, MD for our Supply Chain Solutions division.

Responsibilities

• Tracks day-to-day facility inventory costs and assists in supporting the facility KPI’s (Key Performance Indicators)
• Aids in developing and maintaining inventory control systems
• Develops and manages the facility cycle count program and the inventory recoup/repack/return/recycle program
• Supports Operations Supervisors and hourly associates regarding inventory issues
• Facilitates and executes the hold process for local site
• Has a positive influence on and assists in the development of employees and conducts periodic performance evaluations of direct reports
• Ensures daily communications and shift meetings provide the necessary information for employees to do their jobs consistently well while making them feel a real part of the team
• Promotes positive customer relationships

Requirements

• H.S. diploma/GED required
• Bachelor's degree preferred in logistics, supply chain, or related field
• Three (3) years or more manufacturing/production/distribution inventory experience required
• Two (2) years or more supervisory experience required
• Three (3) years or more PC Inventory and accounting skills required
• Intermediate computer skills
• Exposure to Lean principles, systems and tools
• Knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
• Knowledge of OSHA
• DOT and Hazmat knowledge may be required based on the account
• APICS certified

Pay

Annual Salary Pay: $80,000 - $90,000 per year based on experience

Schedule

Monday-Friday 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. with flexibility to work additional hours depending on the business needs.

Summary

The Manager Inventory reports to the Senior Logistics Manager and has overall responsibility for tracking incoming and finished goods materials, packaging supplies, etc. required in the warehousing and distribution of customer products. Provides accounting support regarding inventory issues. Reporting to this position are cycle counters and a clerk. The position requires direct involvement with daily operations and future projects to assure activities support facility goals and objectives.
