Inventory Manager
Responsibilities
- Develop and enforce shop floor inventory procedures that strengthen control, accuracy, and consistency as business demands increase.
- Direct daily inventory management activities to ensure material availability aligns with production needs and operational priorities.
- Lead cycle counting, full physical counts, and reconciliation efforts to preserve accurate on-hand balances.
- Investigate inventory variances, determine underlying causes, and implement corrective measures to prevent repeat issues.
- Manage processes for excess, obsolete, and scrap materials to support efficient stock utilization and reporting.
- Track inventory movement and balances across both internal facilities and external storage locations.
- Analyze Bills of Materials to research material discrepancies and resolve inventory-related concerns.
- Partner with production, warehouse, and supply chain teams to improve inventory visibility and control performance.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in inventory management, inventory control, or a closely related manufacturing role.
- Demonstrated knowledge of inventory tracking, inventory audits, and annual physical inventory processes.
- Experience maintaining inventory accuracy through cycle counts, reconciliation, and control procedures.
- Ability to interpret Bills of Materials and use them to support investigations and material analysis.
- Familiarity with managing asset inventory, excess stock, obsolete materials, and scrap controls.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify discrepancies and recommend solutions.
- Background in manufacturing or supply chain environments with an understanding of material flow and stock management.
