Inventory Manager

About the role

The Inventory Manager at Winrock Automotive Group is responsible for verifying, inspecting, and confirming the accuracy of all new and used vehicles. They oversee and manage a team of porters to ensure vehicles are organized and maintained according to dealership standards.

Responsibilities

• Approach, greet, and offer assistance to customers entering the dealership showroom or sales lot
• Manage and oversee the dealership's inventory of new and used vehicles
• Verify receipt of vehicles delivered to the dealership and ensure they are parked and organized
• Compare and verify VINs of incoming vehicles against invoices
• Conduct proper inventory procedures to confirm assigned stock numbers and entries in the system
• Inspect vehicles for damage and verify the presence of accessories listed on the invoice
• Record descriptions of any damages and list missing items on the delivery receipt
• Conduct proper reports as assigned
• Park vehicles in the assigned area based on model or dealership standards
• Manage and oversee sale porters to ensure proper staffing at all times
• Display high levels of commitment to customer satisfaction
• Conduct business ethically and professionally
• Comply with deferral, state, and local laws governing auto sales and follow all sale protocols
• Communicate effectively with the sales team regarding key storage and other matters

Qualifications

• Work experience in sales and/or inventory, preferably in a dealership setting
• Advanced computer skills, particularly in Reynolds & Reynolds systems
• A high school diploma or equivalent, with a bachelor’s degree in business or a related field preferred
