Job Summary
We are currently seeking a Short-Term Inventory Control Specialist (6 months) for our 3rd shift at our distribution center in Cumberland, MD. This is a temporary assignment with the potential for contract extension based on business needs and performance review.

Responsibilities
- Run various reports that identify potential systematic issues with inventory, investigate appropriately and resolve any found problems.
- Search for inaccuracies and errors, such as misplaced stock, while conducting and processing scheduled weekly cycle counts.
- Complete inventory adjustments based off differences in physical counts and research using the company’s ERP system.
- Use forklift equipment to replenish pick bins with overstock product.
- Identify and process damaged inventory throughout the warehouse to maintain accurate inventory levels.
- Ensure that misplaced or mistakenly picked items are returned to the correct bin location.
- Safely operate and maintain warehouse equipment to fulfill job duties to ensure a safe work environment.
- Pick wrap/kit list for repacking items and transport completed product throughout the warehouse for put-away.
- Meet all expected performance standards regarding efficiency, accuracy and quality of work.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment by following all safety guidelines and reporting any hazards to the appropriate leadership.
- Work closely with team members and leadership to meet daily, weekly, and monthly departmental goals.
- Abide by all company and warehouse policies.
- Flex into other positions and departments and undertake additional duties as necessary to support the overall operation.
Qualifications
- Experience: 1 year+ of relevant experience in a distribution environment preferred but not required.
- Education: High school diploma or GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Desired Traits & Skills: Ability to operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts, order pickers, etc.; proficiency with MS Office required (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint); strong analytical and problem-solving skills required; strong verbal and written communication skills; demonstrated ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines in a fast-paced environment; ability to quickly adapt as business needs change; customer service-oriented attitude with a demonstrated desire to exceed expectations.
