Principal Duties & Responsibilities
- Assigns pick locations, accurately, for maximum optimization as necessary.
- Performs functions of the DC allocation process efficiently.
- Reconciles Receiving documents to accounting reports accurately.
- Verifies inventory locations, accurately, and resolves issues for the following areas: Bust-out, stock decks, pick slots, cycle counts, problem pallets, transfers, etc.
- Performs data entries and updates reports accurately.
- Verifies and releases breakdowns accurately.
- Counts locations as assigned or requested accurately.
- Audits operations departments as assigned by management.
- Processes all merchandise returns to vendor.
- Re-tickets/re-packages merchandise as instructed and initiates appropriate vendor chargebacks.
- Completes the daily P.I.T. checklist to ensure equipment is working properly and reports any defects to management and/or maintenance.
- Operates P.I.T. equipment in a safe manner.
- Maintains confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Follows set safety procedures and guidelines to maximize personal safety.
- Maintains an organized work area and promotes a safe working environment within the Inventory Control department.
- Follows all Company policies and procedures.
- All other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements
- Education: High school preferred.
- Experience: Four to six months clerical or similar work experience in a Retail, Distribution, or Warehouse environment is preferred.
- Must be able to demonstrate basic Word, Excel, Outlook and Windows.
- Working knowledge of WMS preferred.
Physical Requirements
- Able to perform essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- The Team Member should have adequate fitness level to meet the demands of frequent lifting, walking, standing, moderate climbing of stairs, occasional sitting, stooping and kneeling with or without reasonable accommodation.
- May be required to operate P.I.T. equipment that raises the Team Member on a platform to heights of up to 50 feet.
- The Team Member will be required to use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) per Distribution Center requirements.
Working Conditions
- Team Member will work in a climate controlled (office) atmosphere; however there may be frequent exposure to the Distribution Center (non-climate controlled).
- The Team Member may also be exposed to moving mechanical parts or equipment, fumes and airborne particles as regulated by OSHA.
Availability
- Team Member will perform shift work and must be willing to work overtime, weekends and/or holidays.
