INVENTORY CLERK I
Marvin Engineering Co. is a leading defense contractor specializing in the development and manufacturing of military aerospace and vehicle systems. Based in Southern California near Los Angeles International Airport, the company comprises three divisions: Marvin Engineering (alternate mission equipment), Marvin Test Solutions (armament test equipment), and Marvin Land Systems (power and thermal management systems). About the role
This position supports all warehouse responsibilities to meet organizational demands for materials management in a fast-paced environment. The role requires attention to detail, accuracy, and the ability to work efficiently and independently while ensuring 100% customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Perform cycle counts of all material in the warehouse and support year-end physical inventory.
- Pull materials from picklists and properly package them for secure storage or delivery to internal/external customers.
- Process all data-entry transactions in the ERP system (SAP).
- Verify and receive all outbound/inbound materials into stock.
- Operate warehouse equipment, including stand-up forklift, sit-down forklift, work assist vehicle (W.A.V.), and pallet jack (electric and manual).
- Adhere to MEC safety protocols: participate in daily morning stretches, use proper personal protective equipment (P.P.E.), and complete monthly safety training.
- Communicate inventory constraints with stakeholders and work with all levels of the organization.
- Maintain a clean working environment by following "clean as you go" and foreign object debris (F.O.D.) practices.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in an inventory environment (manufacturing preferred).
- 1 year of experience operating warehouse equipment.
- 1 year of experience with an ERP system (SAP preferred).
- Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and time management skills.
- Ability to follow instructions, work independently, and collaborate as part of a team.
- Attention to detail and accuracy; self-starter mentality.
- Ability to lift a minimum of 35 lbs., stand, walk, bend, and climb ladders during an 8-hour shift.
- Must be a "U.S. person" within the meaning of ITAR (U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, political asylee, or refugee).
Work Environment
This role is based in a warehouse setting in Inglewood, CA.
Pay
Base salary range: $20.00 – $22.00 per hour.
