About the role

The role involves managing invasive species in a national wildlife refuge, focusing on habitat restoration and conservation efforts.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategies to control invasive plant species.
  • Coordinate with local communities and stakeholders to promote conservation practices.
  • Conduct regular monitoring and assessment of wildlife habitats.
  • Prepare reports and presentations on project progress and findings.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in biology, environmental science, or related field.
  • At least 2 years of experience in invasive species management or related field.
  • Valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation.

Qualifications

  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience with GIS software and data analysis tools.

Skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of ecological principles and conservation techniques.
