About the Role
Interventional Radiology is a sub-specialty of radiology in which minimally invasive procedures are performed using image guidance. As an Interventional Radiology Technologist, you will:
- Demonstrate expert knowledge of all Special/Interventional Procedures and provide appropriate, positive patient care and exemplary customer service to patients of all ages (newborn to late adulthood).
- Maintain strong communication and organization within Interventional Radiology, across departments, and with radiologists and referring physicians.
- Consistently apply critical thinking skills in daily prioritization and assume accountability for personal and team contributions.
- Participate in call rotation, including weekends and holidays, and cross-train in one or more modalities as required.
Requirements
- Completion of an AMA-approved Radiology Technology training program with current certification by ARRT.
- Maintain current registry by attending continuing education activities.
- Current ARRT RT(R)(VI) or (CV) and BLS certification required.
- Interventional/Special Procedure experience preferred.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (ARRT-R) Radiography Certificate must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
