About the role

The Interventional Radiology Technologist I role is an entry level position and will assist in routine diagnostic and highly complex invasive neuro and peripheral interventions. The technologist is also required to be competent in a wide variety of procedures referred by oncology, trauma, urology, gastroenterology and nephrology. The technologist must follow established protocols and guidelines for use by providers in diagnosis and treatment of pathologies.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in routine diagnostic and highly complex invasive neuro and peripheral interventions.
  • Be competent in a wide variety of procedures referred by oncology, trauma, urology, gastroenterology and nephrology.
  • Follow established protocols and guidelines for use by providers in diagnosis and treatment of pathologies.

Requirements

  • Completion of a two year program of an ARRT approved school of Radiologic Technology required.
  • Licensed as a Radiologic Technologist through the state of Maine required; Certification in Radiography with the ARRT required.
  • Current BLS certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date.
  • Two years of acute care experience as an imaging technologist OR one year advanced modality imaging experience required.
