Internal Sales Manager

Responsibilities

• Lead a local team of Customer Account Specialists supporting quotations and sales orders for domestic and international customers.
• Serve as the key contact and escalation point for both internal and external customers.
• Manage cross-functional communication and collaboration with Production, Shipping, Finance, Quality, external Sales, and other teams.
• Oversee order processing and other customer-facing activities at the Schenectady, NY site.
• Provide individual coaching and development for team members, including maintaining department-specific procedures.
• Generate reports and present data related to the function to internal stakeholders.
• Support other local and regional teams as needed.
• Act as a key user of internal systems, particularly SAP.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or Communications preferred.
• SAP experience preferred.
• Certification: CFR 49 / IATA / IMDG certification or ability to obtain within 12 months.
• Previous Export experience a plus.
• Proficiency in MS Word and Excel required.
• Familiarity with manufacturing software applications preferred.

• Professional telephone presence to handle customer inquiries calmly and courteously while adhering to company policies.
• Ability to prioritize, multitask, and work with limited supervision.
