About the Role

MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center is a 300+ physician and specialist supported hospital with 24/7 Hospitalists, Neurosurgery, Cardiology, GI, ENT, OBGYN, Hematology Oncology, Endocrinology, Rheumatology, Psychiatry, Nephrology, Pulmonary/Critical Care, Dermatology, Neurology, Infectious Disease, Ortho Surgery, Vascular Surgery, General Surgery, Wound, Anesthesia, Radiology, Urology, etc.

The program is part of a regional health system covering 14 counties, including MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center, 7 critical access hospitals, and 42 clinics in northern Iowa.

Responsibilities

  • Teach residents and fellows in an inpatient setting
  • Collaborate with Family Medicine Residency and Cardiology/Interventional Cardiology Fellowship programs
  • Participate in clinical research and quality improvement initiatives
  • Provide patient care in collaboration with hospitalists and specialists

Requirements

  • MD/DO degree
  • Current license to practice medicine in IA
  • Completion of an ACGME-accredited Internal Medicine residency program

Qualifications

  • Strong clinical skills and teaching abilities
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Benefits

  • Guaranteed base salary: $316,688/year
  • $6,000 CME allowance/year

$75,000 recruitment bonus
