About the role

MercyOne Forest City Family Medicine is a busy practice seeking a full-time family or internal medicine physician to join a team of five APPs. The practice offers traditional outpatient services, lab, X-ray, EKG, behavioral services, and family counseling on-site. The position is located 30 miles from MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center, a 342-bed regional referral teaching hospital.

Responsibilities

• Manage a busy schedule with immediate volume replacement for a retiring provider.
• Work in a team environment with five APPs and tenured RNs and experienced office staff.
• Participate in specialist outreach programs including orthopedics and podiatry.
• Utilize telemedicine and teleradiology services.
• Enjoy a supportive community with excellent schools, recreational activities, and cultural events.

Requirements

• Graduate from a medical/osteopathic medical school.
• Complete an appropriate residency program and be board certified or board eligible.
• Able to obtain Mercy Medical Center-North Iowa medical staff privileges.
• Show above-average communication skills and teamwork abilities.
• Hold a valid Iowa State of Iowa physician license, Iowa Controlled Substance Certificate, and Federal DEA Certificate.

Qualifications

• Must be BC/BE or eligible for board certification within three years of eligibility.
• Hospital privileges must be obtained.
• Pass a pre-employment physical and drug screen.

Benefits

• $150,000 bonus package
• 2-year guaranteed base salary of $300,908
• Up to $15,000 in moving allowance
• Full benefits package including paid malpractice and tail coverage
