About the role

MercyOne Forest City Family Medicine is seeking a full-time Family Medicine Physician to join a busy practice that will replace a retiring provider. The position offers a traditional outpatient setting with immediate volume replacement, located 30 miles from MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center in Mason City.

Responsibilities

• Practice with a team of 5 APPs, including family or internal medicine based on physician training
• Call schedule is 1:5-6 weeks
• Laboratory, radiology, electrocardiogram, behavioral services, and family counseling are available on-site
• Specialist outreach including orthopedics and podiatry
• Telemedicine and teleradiology services are available
• Part of MercyOne Medical Group - North Iowa with a $150,000 bonus package
• 2-year guaranteed base salary of $300,908
• Up to $15,000 in moving allowance
• Full benefits package including paid malpractice and tail coverage
• Located in Forest City, Iowa, population 4,200
• Close to Minneapolis and Des Moines
• Home to Winnebago Industries, Waldorf University, and Country Thunder Music Festival

Requirements

• Graduate of a medical/osteopathic medical school
• Board certified or board eligible
• Successfully completed an appropriate residency program
• Able to obtain Mercy Medical Center-North Iowa medical staff privileges
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Licensed or eligible for State of Iowa physician license
• Above average communication skills
• Ability to work with a team
• Licensed or eligible for Iowa Controlled Substance Certificate and Federal DEA Certificate

Qualifications
