About the role
MercyOne North Iowa Neurology is seeking a full-time neurologist to join a dynamic team of providers at MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center. The position offers a competitive compensation package, including a $370,000 salary and $100,000 bonus, along with a comprehensive benefits package.
Shift Description
The role involves an inpatient/outpatient split, with a focus on sub-specialties such as EEG, EMG, epilepsy, sleep disorders, multiple sclerosis, and movement disorders. The position also includes participation in grand rounds, non-burdensome call, and teaching opportunities for internal medicine and family medicine residents and medical students.
Responsibilities
- Provide clinical care to patients with neurological conditions
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of high-quality patient care
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care
- Participate in continuing medical education and professional development activities
- Engage in research and teaching activities as appropriate
Requirements
- Board certification or board eligibility in neurology
- Completion of an accredited residency program in neurology
- Licensure or eligibility for licensure in the State of Iowa
- Ability to obtain medical staff privileges at MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited medical or osteopathic medical school
- Demonstrated competency as a physician through completion of an appropriate residency program
- Above-average communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
