About the role

MercyOne North Iowa Endocrinology, Weight Loss, & Diabetes is seeking a physician to join a busy outpatient practice. The position offers minimal call responsibilities and a teaching opportunity for residents and medical students.

Responsibilities

• Diabetes management, including Type I & II diabetes, pump and sensor therapy, medical nutrition therapy, and weight loss
• Teaching opportunities for Internal Medicine and Family Medicine Residents, ARNP/PA students, and medical students
• Full-spectrum endocrinology services

Requirements

• Board certified or board eligible within 3 years of eligibility
• Completed an appropriate residency program
• Medical/osteopathic medical school graduate
• Licensed or eligible for State of Iowa physician license
• Above average communication skills
• Ability to work as part of a team

Qualifications

• Graduate of a medical/osteopathic medical school
• Demonstrated competency as a physician through a residency program
• Board certified or board eligible
• Successfully obtained Mercy Medical Center-North Iowa medical staff privileges
• Licensed or eligible for State of Iowa physician license
• Iowa Controlled Substance Certificate and Federal DEA Certificate
