Practice Details
The KBRH ICU group is currently recruiting for a part-time/full-time Critical Care position, 9-14 weeks per year. We are a 7-bed unit that functions both as a full-service ICU as well as HAU/CCU. We are currently providing a week of coverage at a time, with two nights cross-covered per week.
The Successful Applicant Is Expected To Provide 24/7 coverage for 9-14 weeks per year, evenly spaced throughout the year. During coverage, it is required to be in close proximity to the hospital at all times.
Permanently relocate full-time to the West Kootenay region, to encourage participation in a regular cross coverage schedule and contribute to medical staff and community. Must reside within 30 minutes of KBRH while on ICU call.
Requirements
- Tertiary level education in a relevant field
- Current registration with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia (CPSBC)
- Experience in critical care setting
- Ability to teach medical students and residents during their ICU rotations
- Participation in administrative work and quality improvement projects

Pay
Compensation Type: Base Salary
Estimated Remuneration: $350,229 to $437,786 (based on credentials)
Schedule
9-14 weeks per year, evenly spaced throughout the year.
