Intern - Power Generation Engineering - LNG Division
Wisconsin Electric Power, a subsidiary of WEC Energy Group, is seeking an engineering intern to support our LNG Division in Oak Creek, WI, with travel to Whitewater and Ixonia, WI sites. This full-time summer internship begins in May/June 2027.

About the Role
This internship offers real-world, hands-on experience while you are still enrolled in college, along with competitive pay. You’ll work alongside a team of multi-disciplinary engineers supporting the operation, maintenance, performance, and optimization of our LNG facilities. The role provides mentorship from experienced engineers, networking opportunities with other interns, and a chance to support our generating fleet through a period of transition.
Responsibilities
- Conduct equipment inspections
- Troubleshoot operation and maintenance issues
- Investigate equipment failures
- Support projects and assist in managing small projects
- Improve equipment reliability and plant performance
- Review and update drawings and procedures
- Ensure adherence to codes and standards
Requirements
- High School Diploma, GED, or HSED
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering (graduation date after July 2027)
- Minimum GPA of 2.8
- Valid driver’s license
Pay
The hourly pay range for this position is $23.10–$27.55, with a starting rate of $23.10. The pay range reflects the minimum and maximum at the time of posting and may be adjusted in the future. Starting pay will be based on education, qualifications, experience, skills, location, and other relevant factors. Paid company holidays are included.
