About the Role

Join Baker College as an Intern–Graduate Disability Services Test Proctor and make a meaningful impact by helping create an accessible, inclusive, and supportive learning environment. In this vital role, you'll work alongside faculty, staff, and students to ensure testing accommodations are coordinated with accuracy, professionalism, and care—empowering every student to demonstrate their knowledge and achieve academic success.

The Intern–Graduate Disability Services Test Proctor helps ensure that students receive the testing accommodations approved by a Disability Specialist while supporting the daily operations of the campus testing center. This role connects students with resources that support their academic success and embodies Baker College’s student-first philosophy.

Responsibilities

  • Schedule accommodated exams and clearly communicate testing procedures with students, faculty, and staff.
  • Maintain a secure testing environment by following testing center policies and protecting academic integrity.
  • Resolve basic technology issues, including software and hardware problems, to keep testing running smoothly.
  • Maintain confidential student records in compliance with FERPA and document testing and accommodation information.
  • Assist with testing and assistive technology setup.
  • Complete daily office tasks, reports, meetings, and special projects.
  • Stay current on disability services and accessibility best practices through training and professional development.
  • Work with departments across the college to support student academic success.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Currently enrolled in an accredited master’s or doctoral program.
  • Preference given to individuals with one to two years of experience in office administration, customer service, or student support within a higher education or comparable professional environment.
