About the role

This position serves day-to-day operations of Disability Services for students throughout their university experience with specific attention on planning and coordinating daily activities of accommodations-based testing services. Serves as a liaison to students, academic departments, and Student Success Services. Coordinates scheduling for the Testing Center. Assists the Office of Disability Services and Student Affairs as directed.

Responsibilities

  • Plans, organizes, coordinates, and participates in the daily operations and activities of accommodation-based testing services, including scheduling and communication.
  • Supports Disability Services staff with Office of Disability Services planning, activities, and general administration.
  • Coordinates marketing and promotional efforts for assigned area.
  • The role will determine, provide, or arrange for the provision of appropriate academic or other university accommodations for students.
  • This role also functions as a liaison and resource to faculty, staff, and residential life/dormitory leasing personnel on disability services.
  • Coordinates scheduling for the Testing Center.
  • Other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Services or related field.
  • 1 year experience working with students at the post-secondary level.
  • In lieu of a degree, any appropriate combination of relevant education, experience, and/or certifications may be considered.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in the administration of testing materials.
  • Experience working within disability services.
  • 2 years of work-related experience specifically with students with disabilities at a college level.
  • Prior use of the Accessible Information Management (AIM) software system preferred.

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSA)

  • Customer and Personal Service: Proficient in-depth knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services.
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office and demonstrated ability to learn other computer systems necessary for the role.
  • Critical Thinking: Proficient skills in using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.
  • Ability to interpret, apply, and explain federal, state, and local laws related to disability services.
  • Knowledge of procedures for assessing and determining disability accommodations at the post-secondary level.

Required Licenses, Certifications, and/or Other Specific Requirements of Law

  • Must possess a valid driver’s license.
  • This position requires a criminal background check.
  • This position is subject to federal and state privacy regulations.

Schedule

Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.; occasional overtime (weekends and evenings) may be required.

Pay

$50,200 – $53,000, commensurate with experience.
