Intern - Events

Hilltop Securities Inc. is seeking a qualified student to join our Business Development & Events team as a Summer Intern. This in-person internship runs from May 27, 2027 to July 30, 2027, with opportunities in downtown Dallas at our HTS Tower location and at various branch locations nationwide.

About the role

You will work closely with our Business Development team to gain hands-on experience planning events, working on campaigns and surveys, and assisting with key initiatives. This role offers entry-level events and marketing experience in the financial services industry, including the development and delivery of initiatives and effective practices.

Responsibilities

• Interact and coordinate with various staff and leadership to initiate and complete assignments requiring communication, organizational, administrative, and project management skills.
• Assist in developing and drafting key messaging and internal communications, including social media.
• Assist in planning and executing firm-wide events.
• Prepare and update documents and presentations using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Take on administrative and organizational projects and execute them start to finish with minimal supervision.
• Other responsibilities may be assigned based on organizational needs and the intern’s areas of interest.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Rising Senior pursuing a degree in business, communications, or marketing is preferred.
• Some experience (0 – 1 year) is preferred but not required.
• Proficiency with computer hardware, operating systems (Windows or Mac), and software/applications (MS Office, Internet Explorer, Outlook, etc.).
• Excellent verbal, written, and communication skills.
• Proven self-starter who can initiate tasks and follow up to completion.
• Exceptional time management and organizational skills.
• Desire to learn about career opportunities in the financial services industry.
• Must have authorization to work for any employer in the US without requiring sponsorship, whether in student status or not.
