What You’ll Learn & Experience
- Gain hands-on experience supporting the planning, coordination, and execution of fundraising and community events.
- Aid in event logistics, including vendor coordination, registrations, scheduling, and event timelines.
- Participate in event setup, breakdown, and day-of operations, ensuring a positive experience for attendees, volunteers, sponsors, and staff.
- Learn how nonprofit events support fundraising, community outreach, and donor engagement.
- Assist with volunteer coordination, guest check-in, and participant communications.
- Create event materials, signage, and promotional content using Microsoft Office and other communication tools.
- Maintain event records, registrations, supply inventories, and administrative documentation.
- Understand how budgets, sponsorships, timelines, and project management contribute to successful events.
- Enhance professional skills such as organization, communication, customer service, teamwork, adaptability, and problem-solving in a fast-paced environment.
- Participate in post-event evaluations to identify successes and opportunities for future improvement.
Mentorship & Growth
- Interns are supported by experienced staff who provide guidance, feedback, and opportunities to observe and participate in real work environments.
- This experience helps individuals build confidence, learn workplace expectations, and explore potential careers in nonprofit management, development/marketing, and event management.
