About the role
This position is available for second shift work, Monday through Thursday, from 3 PM to 1 AM. The shift incentive includes a 10% to 15% premium, paid lunch, 3-day weekends, formal airframe training, and eligibility to transfer to first shift after three years.
Responsibilities
- General upholstery on aircraft - seats, panels, and other interior items
- Perform minor modifications
- Maintenance and repair of shop facility, equipment, and tooling
- Basic computer skills for navigating electronic training, manuals, and maintenance databases
- Cleanliness of shop and surroundings
- Work independently when required
- Effectively and clearly communicate (speaking, writing, reading) in English
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned by supervisor or management
Requirements
- A High school diploma or equivalent
- A valid driver's license approved for airline travel and/or a valid passport is ideal, but not required
- Experience: Tech I (0-2 years), Tech II (2-4 years), Tech III (4-6 years), Master Tech (6+ years)
- Self-motivated and able to perform in a fast-paced environment
- Reliable transportation to get to work each and every day
- Follow all company and safety rules during performance of duties
- Customer-oriented work habits
- Assist in major modification work as needed
Qualifications
- Physical requirements: Lifts 50 lbs, routine walking, bending, squatting, sitting, routing or repetitive physical motion with arms and hands, standing for long periods, climbing ladders and stairs, working in small restricted areas
- Mental requirements: Understanding and implementation of regulations and guidelines including but not limited to OSHA, Hazmat, etc.; work with others in a professional manner; read and comprehend various documents; plan and organize procedures and operations; supervise work under supervision of assigned Team Leader and Interior Management; work with minimal supervision when required; assist in major modification work as needed
Skills
- Basic to advanced foam build-ups, patterning, and sewing of seat parts and other upholstery items
- Disassembly, cleaning, repair, and modifications of components as needed

Pay
The hourly rate for this position generally ranges between $20 - $35. Actual hourly rate will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance.
