About the role

The Interior Upholstery Technician position is available on a second shift schedule from Monday to Thursday, from 3 PM to 1 AM. The shift incentive includes a 10% to 15% premium, paid lunch, three-day weekends, formal airframe training, and eligibility to transfer to first shift after three years.

Responsibilities

  • Repair, refurbish, and reinstall interior upholstery components on business aircraft.
  • Perform general upholstery tasks on aircraft - seats, panels, and other interior items.
  • Remove and install seats, disassemble, clean, repair, and modify components as needed.
  • Perform minor modifications.
  • Maintain and repair shop facility, equipment, and tooling.
  • Navigate electronic training, manuals, and maintenance databases.
  • Cleanliness of shop and surroundings.
  • Communicate effectively (speaking, writing, reading) in English.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned by supervisor or management.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • A valid driver's license for airline travel and/or a valid passport is preferred, but not required.
  • Experience: Tech I (0-2 years), Tech II (2-4 years), Tech III (4-6 years), Master Tech (6+ years).

Qualifications

  • Ability to perform minor modifications.
  • Basic computer skills for navigating electronic training, manuals, and maintenance databases.
  • Physical requirements: Lifts up to 50 lbs, routine walking, bending, squatting, sitting, standing for long periods, climbing ladders and stairs, working in small restricted areas.
  • Mental requirements: Understanding and implementing regulations and guidelines, working with others in a professional manner, reading and comprehending various documents, planning and organizing procedures and operations, supervising other technicians when required.
