Interior Cabinet Technician - 2nd shift - 1469

About the role

This position is available for 2nd shift work, Monday through Thursday, from 3pm to 1am. The shift incentive includes a 10% -15% premium, paid lunch, 3 day weekends, formal airframe training, and eligibility to transfer to 1st shift after 3 years.

Responsibilities

  • Fabricating complex high quality furniture and other wood-surfaced subassemblies for installation in world class business aircraft.
  • Performing parts replacements or repairs, basic electrical system installation, and general mechanical applications.
  • Modifying, repairing, refurbishing, and fabricating aircraft cabinets.
  • Completing daily turnover sheets.
  • Maintaining and repairing shop facility, equipment, and tooling.
  • Navigating electronic training, manuals, and maintenance databases.
  • Cleaning the shop and surrounding areas.
  • Communicating effectively (speaking, writing, reading) in English.
  • Performing other job-related duties as assigned by supervisor or management.

Requirements

  • A High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience in aviation, auto, RV, Marine, or related fields.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Routine walking, bending, squatting, sitting, and standing.
  • Repetitive physical motions with arms and hands, emphasizing grasping, feeling, and finger dexterity.
  • Standing for long periods of time.
  • Climbing ladders and stairs.
  • Working in small, restricted areas.
  • Understanding and implementing regulations and guidelines including but not limited to OSHA, Hazmat, etc.
  • Working with others in a professional manner.
  • Reading and comprehending various documents.
  • Planning and organizing procedures and operations.
  • Supervising other technicians when required.
  • Working independently when required.

Qualifications

  • Tech I: 0-2 years of experience in aviation, auto, RV, Marine, or related field.
  • Tech II: 2 - 4 years of experience in aviation, auto, RV, Marine, or related field.
  • Tech III: 4-6 years of experience in aviation, auto, RV, Marine, or related field.
  • Master Tech: 6+ years’ experience in aviation interiors.

Skills

  • Ability to perform minor modifications.
  • Basic computer skills for navigating electronic training, manuals, and maintenance databases.
  • Good cleanliness and work ethic.
  • Effective communication skills (speaking, writing, reading).
  • Self-motivation and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Reliable transportation to get to work each and every day.
  • Knowledge of Federal Aviation Administration guidelines.
  • Compliance with company and safety rules during performance of duties.
  • Customer-oriented work habits.
  • Assistance in major modification work as needed.
