About the role
This position is available for second shift work, Monday through Thursday, from 3:00 PM to 1:00 AM. The shift includes a 10% to 15% premium, paid lunch, 3-day weekends, and formal airframe training. After three years, eligible to transfer to first shift.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for interior finish processes, including wood finishes, gloss and satin applications, and sanding of hardwood.
- Develop and complete aircraft interior cabinet finishes.
- Absorb and identify colors and color matches as needed.
- Apply basic knowledge of stains, lacquers, clear coats, and chemicals.
- Follow safety procedures and maintain cleanliness of the shop and surroundings.
- Perform maintenance and repair of shop facility, equipment, and tooling.
- Assist with major modification projects and other job-related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- A valid driver's license for airline travel and/or a valid passport (optional).
- Experience in aviation, auto, RV, Marine, or related fields, ranging from 0-6 years.
- Self-motivated and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Reliable transportation and ability to work flexible hours, including overtime and weekends.
Qualifications

- Basic computer skills to navigate electronic training, manuals, and maintenance databases.
- Physical abilities to lift 50 lbs., walk, bend, squat, sit, and perform repetitive motions.
- Ability to climb ladders and stairs and work in small restricted areas.
- Pass a respirator fit test.

Pay
The hourly rate for this position generally ranges between $20 - $35, with additional compensation for shift differential.
