Interim Lab Supervisor, Central Receiving

Position Summary

Responsible for the supervisory and operational functions of St. Peter’s Health Partners Central Receiving department. The Supervisor is expected to lead a team of Central Receiving colleagues that directly impact SPHP patient and client experiences.

Duties

• Lead a team of Central Receiving colleagues
• Staff, train, schedule, and timekeep personnel
• Achieve accuracy and timeliness of procedure performance
• Manage budgeting and materials management
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
• Ensure staff follow all policies and procedures
• Maintain cleanliness and readiness for regulatory inspections

Education Requirements

Associate degree required. Bachelor’s degree Preferred. (degree in biological sciences, laboratory science or healthcare management preferred) or Equivalent experience. (minimum of 2 years of leading a phlebotomy team)

Experience Requirements

• Effective communication skills both verbal and written
• Ability to manage time, prioritize duties
• Previous experience in phlebotomy
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
