Shift Description

Responsible for the supervisory and general operational functions at one or several locations: Albany Memorial, Samaritan, St. Mary’s Campus or St. Peter’s Hospital. These responsibilities include organizing and coordinating the day‑to‑day laboratory services at the specified site to include:

• Staffing
• Scheduling
• Training
• Timely test performance
• Budgeting
• Materials management
• Performance appraisals
• Overall oversight of the site’s test menu and turnaround times
• Working closely with the SPHP Manager of each clinical section/site location to assist in coordinating daily activities
• Applying and contributing to the St. Peter’s Health Partners mission and values

Education Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and certificate from a school of medical technology, or any other qualification meeting supervisory requirements of the NYS Department of Health
• Prefer certification by a nationally recognized clinical laboratory certifying agency
• Valid New York State License from the Department of Education as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist (CLT)

Experience Requirements

• Six years laboratory experience required
• Good communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
• Familiarity with technology related to practice in the assigned section

Schedule

• Monday‑Friday; Non‑benefited position
• Location: St. Peter's Hospital, Albany, NY
• Start Date: ASAP
• Weeks: 13
• Hours: 5 × 8
• Shift: Nights

Pay

Gross Weekly Rate: $4000
