Interfacing Developer (Mirth Connect)

Zoom Remote Client is seeking an experienced Interfacing Developer to support a critical Mirth Connect migration initiative. This consultant will partner with an existing Interface Developer while taking ownership of interface development, migration, optimization, support, and documentation efforts across the organization's healthcare integration environment. The primary focus will be completing the migration to NextGen Mirth Connect while ensuring reliable connectivity between clinical, financial, operational, and third-party applications. This individual must be comfortable working independently, troubleshooting complex integration issues, and supporting production environments in a fast-paced healthcare setting. Candidate Skills And Responsibilities Required Skills 5+ years of healthcare interface development and systems integration experience Strong hands-on experience with Mirth Connect / NextGen Connect Advanced JavaScript development skills Experience supporting healthcare data integrations utilizing:HL7 JSON XML REST APIs SFTP Linux Server Administration experience Strong troubleshooting skills across applications, interface engines, databases, operating systems, and networks Experience developing interface transformations, routing, filtering, and data mapping solutions Ability to independently manage interface development and production support responsibilities Excellent documentation and communication skills Desired Skills NextGen / Mirth Advanced Certification Experience supporting healthcare systems and EMR integrations Experience with migration and modernization of integration environments Knowledge of networking, certificates, security protocols, and system services Exposure to financial, operational, and clinical application integrations Day-to-Day Responsibilities Complete migration activities related to the organization's Mirth Connect / NextGen Connect environment Develop, maintain, and optimize healthcare interfaces using Mirth Connect and JavaScript Create interface mappings, transformations, routing logic, and message filtering Integrate clinical, financial, operational, and third-party systems utilizing HL7, APIs, XML, JSON, and SFTP Troubleshoot interface failures, data discrepancies, and message flow issues Support Linux servers hosting integration services, including logs, permissions, processes, networking, and certificates Partner with application teams, vendors, and stakeholders to resolve technical issues Document interfaces and integration workflows as solutions are developed Monitor and maintain production interfaces to ensure reliable and secure data exchange Promote reusable development practices and maintainable integration solutions
