About the role
The Integration Engineer at CGI Federal plays a crucial role in designing, developing, and implementing solutions that connect different systems and applications to ensure seamless interoperability. This position requires a strong foundation in system architecture, proficiency in programming languages, and experience with databases and APIs.
Responsibilities
- Create and implement integration solutions for diverse systems and applications, often involving APIs and middleware.
- Collaborate with developers, system architects, project managers, and other stakeholders to define integration requirements and align with business needs.
- Build and test integration solutions to ensure they meet performance, functionality, and security standards.
- Monitor and resolve integration issues, ensuring systems remain stable and reliable.
- Create and maintain documentation for integration processes, workflows, and system configurations.
- Stay current with the latest integration technologies and best practices to improve integration strategies.
- Oversee the configuration, maintenance, and optimization of APIs to ensure efficient and reliable operation of integration processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or 3 to 10 years of experience in related fields.
- Security Clearance: TS/SCI with the ability to obtain a CI Poly.
- Strong understanding of system architecture and design principles.
- Proficiency in programming languages (e.g., Python, Java) and data mapping.
- Experience with databases, data warehousing, and ETL processes.
- Familiarity with APIs and middleware technologies.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
