- Scheduled work hours will be 8:00 AM until 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday.
- Medical office background required.
- Compensation (negotiable, based on experience, etc).
- Opportunity to accumulate overtime.
- Email marketing team regarding referrals received.
- Verify patient's insurance and add to the batch.
- Schedule Start of Cares (SOC’s) for patients using appropriate clinicians for specific areas.
- Verify demographics, verify following physician, verify additional contacts.
- Enter all information into the EMR system.
- Check all fax lines for incoming referrals.
- Medical experience is a plus.
- Medical Terminology Required.
- A keen understanding of normal aging and health care for older adults.
- Competency in client needs evaluation, meeting quality standards for services and evaluation of client and employee satisfaction.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Prior customer service and/or sales experience is a plus.
- Strong commitment to providing the highest quality care and customer service.
- Excellent communication and listening skills, particularly via the phone.
- Proven track record of managing processes with strong attention to detail.
- Sensitivity to client needs with the ability to express patience and compassion in dealing with them.
- A positive, "can-do" attitude.
- Confidence and creative problem-solving skills.
- Flexibility and availability for schedules to include hours outside of standard work week, possible weekend hours.
- Medical knowledge is preferred.
- Experience in a medical office setting is a plus.

Job Description
This position entails admitting an abundance of daily referrals into our care, data entry essentially. Must have immaculate phone presence, computer skills and understanding of superior office etiquette. Bilingual in Spanish, Hmong and/or Punjabi is a plus. This position calls for an individual with strong multitasking capabilities who can work well under pressure in a bustling office atmosphere. The intake coordinator will work side by side with other colleagues and under the guidance of a department supervisor.
