Intake and Eligibility Specialist
About the role
Serve as the first point of contact for community members and jobseekers interested in WIOA, TANF, and SNAP workforce services
Complete intake and eligibility determination for assigned workforce programs
Collect, verify, and document all required eligibility information in accordance with Federal, State, local, and corporate policies
Enter data into WIT and process applicants through any participant information system as required
Maintain accurate individual case files in WIT, assuring each file contains all required eligibility documents and meets compliance requirements
Schedule appointments and refer eligible participants to the appropriate Career Advisor or program
Provide clear information to applicants regarding program services, requirements, and next steps
Follow all policies, procedures, and regulations related to eligibility documentation
Support orientation sessions and other group presentations for new participants
Maintain a high level of accuracy and confidentiality in handling participant information
Complete all required reports within the data management system
Approach each day and task with a “ZAG” mindset

Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required, with an Associate's or Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow detailed documentation requirements with accuracy
- Strong communication skills and knowledge about community resources
- Must be computer literate with MS Word and Excel skills at minimum, and the ability to learn specialized databases and software systems
- Able to work in a variety of settings with a culturally diverse customer base with the ability to be culturally sensitive
- Excellent interpersonal, time management, customer service, and organizational skills, with strong oral and written communication
- A demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of confidentiality
- A Valid Driver's License
Qualifications
- To qualify for this role, you must have:
- High school diploma or equivalent required, with an Associate's or Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred

$48,000 - $52,000/yr
Schedule
HYBRID position. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite as well as remotely.
