Intake/Admissions Registered Nurse (RN)

Brentwood Behavioral Healthcare is a 133‑bed acute psychiatric care facility in Flowood, Mississippi, accredited by The Joint Commission and certified by Medicare, Medicaid, and TRICARE®. The hospital provides inpatient and outpatient behavioral health services for adults, children, and adolescents across Hinds, Madison, and Rankin counties. This full‑time RN Night Shift position works Friday through Sunday, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (36 hours per week), with eligibility for a $15,000 sign‑on bonus. New graduates are welcome. Mandatory orientation: Week 1 Monday–Friday 8:00 AM–5:00 PM; Week 2 Monday–Tuesday 8:00 AM–4:30 PM. Overtime and additional shift coverage are available.

Responsibilities

• Conduct initial clinical assessments and gather comprehensive medical histories for patients seeking behavioral health treatment.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to determine appropriate levels of care.
• Provide education to patients and families regarding treatment plans and facility policies.
• Utilize strong communication, critical thinking, and crisis intervention skills to ensure a smooth, compassionate intake process.

Qualifications

Minimum

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in Mississippi.

Preferred

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing.
• 1–3 years of experience in mental health or a related field.
