About the role
The successful candidate will assist with securing defense and indemnity coverage for third-party liability claims. They will work directly with insurance company adjusters and underlying defense counsel.
Responsibilities
- Assist in securing defense and indemnity coverage for third-party liability claims
- Work directly with insurance company adjusters and underlying defense counsel
- Enforce policyholders' rights to coverage under various types of commercial insurance policies
- Handle and manage a busy and varied caseload involving large policyholder cases
Requirements
- At least four years of experience in insurance coverage, preferably at another AmLaw 200 firm or policyholder boutique
- Experience working with insurance company adjusters and underlying defense counsel
- Strong understanding of commercial insurance policies and coverage
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
Qualifications
- Admitted to practice in California
- J.D. degree from an ABA-approved law school
- Passing grade on the California Bar Exam
Skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Effective communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
