Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school
• Active license and good standing with the state bar
• 2+ years of insurance coverage, insurance recovery, commercial litigation, or related experience
• Strong understanding of commercial insurance policies, including property, liability, professional liability, D&O, E&O, cyber, and other specialty coverages
• Excellent legal research, analytical, writing, and advocacy skills
• Experience handling complex litigation matters in state and federal courts
• Ability to manage multiple priorities independently while collaborating effectively within a team environment
• Strong interpersonal and client relationship management skills
• Experience representing policyholders in insurance recovery matters

Responsibilities

• Represent policyholders in insurance coverage and recovery disputes
• Analyze commercial insurance policies, endorsements, exclusions, and coverage obligations
• Advise clients regarding insurance claims, risk mitigation strategies, and recovery opportunities
• Handle all phases of litigation, including pleadings, motion practice, discovery, depositions, mediation, arbitration, trial preparation, and appeals
• Draft coverage opinions, legal memoranda, motions, briefs, and client correspondence
• Collaborate with attorneys across practice groups on complex matters involving construction, environmental, business, and commercial disputes
• Manage and develop strong client relationships while delivering excellent client service
• Participate in business development and marketing initiatives
