Qualifications
- College Degree
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in purchasing, asset management or insurance position (or similar)
- Ability to communicate efficiently and effectively
- Ability to work unsupervised
- Ability to work well with other staff
- Experience with school district accounting; coding, purchasing law (preferred)
- Good physical condition with ability to lift 10 pounds

Performance Responsibilities
- Oversee/maintain fixed asset system as directed by the Chief Financial Officer.
- Produce reports for monthly board meetings and audits, including depreciation reports.
- Conduct an annual 100% audit of all assets in the district.
- Maintain records of all insurance policies and inform administration of renewal deadlines on the following types of coverage: general liability; automobile liability; umbrella; workers' compensation; school leaders' error & omissions; property; and student health.
- Serve as liaison between school district and district carrier, including notification of claims on any of the policies.
- Assist school personnel with any situations that affect insurance claims and the liability of the school district.
- Assist insurance carrier with audits of campus environments for potential risk hazards.
- Assist personnel with Workers' Compensation awareness and coordinate training when necessary or required.
- Process all Purchase Orders, assuring compliance with policy and laws.
- Secure and review all quotes, bids, advertisements, contracts, and vendor agreements for compliance and accuracy.
- Maintain the paperless documentation system as it relates to purchasing files.
- Reconcile all field trip and facility use requests with proper payments.
- Reconcile all athletic tickets and keep an accounting of sales.
- Assist Director of Operations and the Chief Financial Officer with FEMA and MEMA on disaster assistance claims.
- Maintain records on individual bonds for district administrators and board members.
- Maintain blanket bond for all district employees with regard to money handling.
- Assist with auditor requests as needed.
- Process Fundraiser Request, assuring compliance with policy and laws.
- Assist with other Business Office tasks and duties as assigned by the Chief Financial Officer.
