Insurance Property Inspector
About the role
Information Providers, Inc. is seeking a part-time 1099 Insurance Property Inspector in Linden, NJ, who thrives in an independent, field-based schedule. This opportunity offers an hourly rate of $20–$28 per billable hour.
Responsibilities
- Conduct on-site inspections of homes and businesses
- Capture detailed photographs and document key features
- Audit properties for potential hazards or concerns
- Gather accurate data for informed risk evaluation
- Compile thorough, high-quality underwriting survey reports
Requirements
- Motivated individuals who enjoy working independently
- Previous experience in insurance inspections, real estate or property appraisal, home inspections, insurance claims adjusting, construction or commercial contracting, loss control or risk assessment, or first responder experience
- A valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and a willingness to travel throughout your assigned territory
- The ability to work independently while managing your own schedule and workload
- Strong attention to detail with accurate measuring, documentation, and reporting skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office, smartphones, and Windows-based laptops
- The ability to complete administrative work remotely and submit reports in a timely manner
- A willingness to learn, adapt, and continuously improve
- The ability to work comfortably outdoors in a variety of weather conditions
