A well-established insurance defense firm in Houston's Inner Loop is seeking an Attorney with 3+ years of insurance defense or civil litigation experience to join its team. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney looking to take on meaningful litigation responsibilities in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage insurance defense and civil litigation matters from inception through resolution.
• Take depositions, make oral arguments, and participate in hearings and mediations.
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, briefs, and other legal documents.
• Develop case strategies, conduct legal research, and evaluate liability and damages.
• Communicate with clients, carriers, opposing counsel, and other stakeholders.
• Negotiate settlements and work toward favorable case resolutions.

Requirements

• 3+ years of insurance defense and/or civil litigation experience.
• Active Texas law license in good standing.
• Strong deposition, oral advocacy, writing, analytical, and organizational skills.

Qualifications

Experience with products liability, premises liability, auto liability, bad faith, or wrongful death is a plus.
