We're passionate about helping our clients achieve their goals through innovative solutions. Our Insurance Account Executive plays a crucial role in securing new business and providing exceptional service.
Responsibilities
- Works within the Simmons Referral Network and beyond to secure new leads for business.
- Promotes and secures new business through referrals, direct mail, cold calling, and centers of influence.
- Obtains Agent of Record (AOR) letters for all takeover business and enrolls or maintains new/starting businesses.
- Provides daily, weekly, and monthly service to each group account and its members.
- Builds and maintains necessary technology platforms to service accounts.
- Sets and manages annual renewals, presenting competitive market analyses and offering financial reports.
- Generates and submits monthly reports detailing prospecting, new business, and renewal activity.
- Prepares financial reports outlining revenue and expense controls.
- Manages and controls expenses within the agreed-upon budget annually with management.
- Ensures all departmental documents and activities comply with applicable laws, regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Completes required compliance training.
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma required, 4-year college degree in business or related field preferred.
- 3-5 years of insurance sales experience, with a strong background in Employee Benefits sales.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Ability to write simple-to-business correspondence, routine reports, and procedures.
- Excellent PC knowledge, proficiency with MS Office programs such as Excel and Word.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Skills
- Ability to read and interpret documents like procedure manuals, general business correspondence, and journals or government regulations.
- Ability to respond in writing to customer complaints, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
Education and/or Experience
- HS Diploma required.
- 4-year college degree in business or related field preferred.
- 3-5 years of insurance sales experience, with a strong background in Employee Benefits sales.
